Synopsis:

It's taken a long time for me to feel like a normal teenager. But now that I'm settled in a new school, where people know me as more than Charlotte Silver of the infamous Silver family paranormal investigators, it feels like everything is falling into place. And what better way to be normal than to go on a date with a popular football star like Harris Abbott? After all, it's not as if Noah is anything more than a friend….

But my new life takes a disturbing turn when Harris brings me to a party and we play a game called One Hundred Candles. It seems like harmless, ghostly fun. Until spirits unleashed by the game start showing up at school. Now my friends and family are in very real danger, and the door that I've opened into another realm may yield deadly consequences.

My rating: ★★★★★

It all started with a harmless game called one hundred candles. Harris, a popular football player from school, brings Charlotte to a party where the few guests present are playing this game. Everyone must contribute by telling real horror stories that happened to them or someone they know…100 scary stories that correspond to 100 lit candles. Charlotte, reluctantly, joins the game.

Soon after, even though Charlotte has deep feelings for Noah and it seems like he doesn’t, Charlotte starts dating Harris. Then suddenly weird, paranormal things start going on at school. It seems like the “harmless” game of 100 candles unleashed the spirits of the stories and are now haunting the school! Not only that, but Charlotte encountered a demon-like being in their family’s recent investigation.

Once again, Charlotte, her family, and friends, are in dangers way and they must do something fast before someone gets seriously hurt.

This is the best book of the series so far…I LOVED it! There was a lot of mystery, suspense, and a little horror, which I love in a book. I thought the plot was amazing (I do love ghost stories) and Charlotte is becoming one of my favorite heroines! In my opinion, she handles situations well…most of the time, lol. And Noah...LOVE him!

I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves ghost stories. Past Midnight has easily become one of my favorite series, and I cannot wait to see what happens next!
