Blog Tour: Character Interview + Giveaway- Day After (The 19th Year #2) by Emi Gayle

Blurb:

Demon crypts. Vampire lairs. Glowing angels. Sexy sirens. The stuff of fiction.

Or so Winn Thomas always thought.

Since being accepted into the fold of the supernatural, he knows better. None of what he imagined is true, but everything he feared is, and binding himself to his Changeling girlfriend until her nineteenth birthday will give him an education far beyond what he’d get at his human high school.

Luckily, Winn’s not giving up, he won’t back down, and he definitely isn’t going to run away with his tail between his legs. After all, only werewolves have tails. Right?

In this, the second of the 19th Year trilogy, Winn’s facing the challenge of one lifetime. If he doesn’t learn the truth about mythological creatures, his girlfriend Mac Thorne won’t either. That means, in six months, when she chooses her final form, she won’t know what to pick.

Winn, though, has his own ideas about Mac’s final selection—plans she knows nothing of.

He intends to have her pick human.

Whether she can or not.

(Make sure you check out the first book in the series, "After Dark!")

Welcome to my stop on the "Day After" blog tour! Sit back and enjoy this interview with Mac! But be warned: she's a feisty little thing ;)

Lili: Hi Mac! I'm so happy you could stop by and visit today!
Mac: Sure, no problem. I’m supposed to tell you thank you and all that. So, thanks.
Lili: To start off, can you tell us a little about yourself and your...situation?
Mac: My situation? Do I have a problem? I mean, I’m eighteen. I go to school. There are people around. The sun comes up every day. So far. What else you wanna know?
Lili: What do you think about the author...err, your biographer? (The truth and nothing but the truth)
Mac: Emi? She’s okay. Totally gets me, if I must say. Like she seems to know me better than I do sometimes. She can, like, you know, document my life.
Lili: It's no secret that you weren't the biggest fan of us humans. But what changed the way you originally viewed humans?
Mac: Humans are ... well ... human. Doesn’t that automatically make them weird?
Lili: How different a person do you think you'd be if you were just a normal human being? (That's right! I went there!) Would not being a Changeling be a good thing or a bad thing?
Mac: I am a normal human being. What are you saying? How do you know I’m a Changeling?
*Winn has stepped into our interview.*
Winn: Shhh, Mac. Chill.
Mac: Chill? She knows about me!
Win: Ignore her. She doesn’t get that this is a story and only you people know. We, in our world don’t.
Lili: Okay, so would not being a Changeling be good or bad?
Mac: *She glares for a moment, turns to Winn and back to Lili.* Okay, fine, but keep your lips zipped, okay?
Lili: *nods*
Mac: Being a Changeling’s nothing special. It’s just that I have to only pick one thing when I turn 19. So ... you know. It’s fine.
Lili: Now a question completely opposite of what I asked in the previous one: is there one form you prefer above all the rest? The one you like the best...
Mac: Good grief, no. Every form has a problem.
Winn: She’ll figure it out.
Lili: What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
Mac: I’m a Changeling? *She snorts as if that is the most obvious answer.*
Lili: If your life was to be made into a movie, who do you picture playing yourself?
Mac: Me. I’m not going to get old like you humans, so if anyone is going to, it better be me.
Lili: And since we are on the topic of movies, what type of movies do you like to watch? Are there any movies coming out this year that you are looking forward to watching?
Mac: Movies? I don’t have time for stupid Hollywood representations of my kind. Geez. Haven’t you noticed? I mean, my dad is a vampire. Does he sparkle? He has fangs, too. So no, no movies.
Lili: And lastly, complete the following 2 sentences:
  • "The worst part of my life..."
Mac: I have to give up Winn.
Lili: Awe.
  • "I can die happy when..."
Mac: I don’t have to give up Winn.

Lili: Double Awe.
Lili: Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy supernatural life to sit down and talk with me, Mac! We are looking forward to reading more about you, Winn, and all the Changeling goodness!
Mac: Welcome. Sure. Just remember ... don’t tell ... anyone.
Lili: Don't worry, we won't tell anyone!

Man, I really hope I haven't gotten on Mac's bad side for the whole revealing-her-secret thing. That would be bad, lol!
